DESIGNED FOR PROFESSIONAL USE
Build up a neat smartphone video setup.

  • The Z6 clam has been conceived to hold the RODE Ai-Micro adapter perfectly in place so it does not dongle around while shooting.

  • Its cold-shoe has been custom-designed to slide tightly into any of the G2 slots, but the most convenient place to mount it is on the side-slot, just above the handle so it can be easily connected to your smartphone.

  • The Z6 has been 3D printed using an automotive-grade fibber-reinforced composite polymer for supporting tough working conditions.

  • IMPORTANT: Built for the Shoulderpod G2 grip. While the Z6´s cold-shoe might fit in other grips’ cold shoes, we can’t guarantee it will fit tightly or without getting damaged.

INSTRUCTIONS
How to mount the Ai_Micro in the Z6.

  1. Peel the included Protective Skin and wrap it around the centre of the Ai-Micro. The Protective Skin is an electrostatic film. No glue or sticky surfaces are involved.

  2. Open the Z6’s clamp by unscrewing the X-headed (Nº1) screw hidden at the base of the cold-shoe.

  3. Mount the Ai-Micro on the Z6. Make sure it is in positioned correctly.

  4. Slide the Rode Ai-Micro until the protected area sits just under the clamp.

  5. Press the clamp with one hand and tighten back the screw in position. Do not overtighten so you don’t strip the inner thread.

  6. Check the Rode Ai-Micro is correctly clamped.

  7. Mount the whole setup into the G2 by sliding the clamp into the cold shoe.

WHY 3D PRINTING?
The best solution for manufacturing custom-made products for you.

3D printing allows us to offer custom-designed products to a small group of customers at an affordable price.

We can do this by avoiding the high cost of tooling and injection molding, which only make sense for large production runs. The reliability of 3D printed materials is now on par with traditional manufacturing processes and can even meet automotive and aerospace specifications. While surface quality has drastically improved during the last years, it is important to understand that surface quality of 3D printed parts is not yet as smooth as an injection-molded or machined part would be, but this is only a small price to pay for having access to products that can radically improve our workflow.
