INFINITELY VARIABLE GAIN CONTROL
No more low-level or distorted audios.
The infinitely variable gain control is a knob located at the rear of the microphone that allows you to precisely tailor the audio level delivered to your recording device. This feature will help you obtain extremely clean and professional audio under any shooting conditions.
Adjust the dial from 1 to 15 to set the perfect output level and avoid those typical low-volume or distorted audios found on amateur videos.
Check the LED: A green, orange or red light will help you detect distortion peaks while adjusting the correct gain.
The gain control works only when using the analog 3.5 mm output connector.

RYCOTE LYRE SHOCK-MOUNT AND SLIDING RAIL

The slightest vibrations in your setup could potentially be transmitted to your mic and ruin your audio. The high-quality Rycote® Lyre® shock mounting holds the mic in a “floating” way that absorbs all vibrations transmitted to the structure. For a more convenient setup, it also includes a rubber pad for cable management, a sliding rail to adjust the mic’s placement once mounted, a cold shoe lock and a 3/8” threaded shoe.

iPhone Lightning - Use the included SC15 cable [USB-C to Lightning] for connecting the Videomic NTG directly to your iPhone.
USB-C Devices - Use the included SC16 cable [USB-C to USB-C] for connecting the Videomic NTG directly to your Android phone, tablet or laptop.
MONITORING
Listen your audio while recording.
Once the mic is digitally plugged to your smartphone through the SC15 or SC16 USB-C cables, the 3.5 mm connector can now be used for plugging your headphones and monitor your audio. Audio monitoring means that you can listen through your headphones the audio that is being recorded in your smartphone. This is important because it gives you real-time confirmation that the recording levels are correct. You can use the gain control at the back of the mic as your headphone's volume.
